I’ve Got You, Honey - Ocie Elliott

The song I've chosen for this tutorial is "I Got You, Honey" by Ocie Elliott, my favorite acoustic duet. It's no coincidence that Ocie Elliott is also on the cover of my playlist called "Acoustic Duets".

As you'll notice, it's a song based on a main theme composed of 4 chords. Going into more detail, the rhythm of the quatrains isn't exactly as written in the tabs. That's because it's a syncopated rhythm that would made things more difficult if correctly transcribed. Follow what you hear in the video's audio and it won't be a problem!

Another tip I'd like to give you is to let not only the second eighth note but also the last note of the second quatrains ring out. This will give more depth to your sound.

Finally, focus on the bass notes. They follow a regular rhythm and should always be played on the strong beat.

Have fun and don’t forget to subscribe to the YouTube channel!!
