Be Good or Be Gone - Fionn Regan

Hey everyone, and welcome to this new tutorial! The song we're covering is "Be Good or Be Gone" by Fionn Regan, an Irish folk singer-songwriter I didn't know until two months ago. This tutorial is actually the first one inspired by Fiona, hands down the most active follower of my YouTube channel, and I want to thank her publicly for that.

Now, getting back to the tutorial, I must admit that this picking pattern was just as challenging to learn as it was rewarding, given the rapid succession of notes involved. Specifically, you’ll notice that for the G7sus2add#11 chord (correct me if I'm wrong), I chose to keep my left hand's middle finger free. This allows me to utilize the stability provided by the D note pressed with my ring finger from the previous G major chord. I also recommend using the open string to shift positions when transitioning from the G7sus2add#11 chord to the A minor chord.

As for the right hand, I don’t recommend using the ring finger. I believe that plucking the strings with just the thumb, index, and middle fingers creates a more uniform sound.

I'll leave the YouTube link here for you to check out!
