Blessings - Hollow Coves

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first guitar tutorial for a Hollow Coves song!

Before we get started, I’d like to mention that this tutorial covers the song up to the end of the first chorus, stopping just before the second guitar comes in with the strumming. We can break this section down into two parts: the introduction and verses (and the short break), followed by the chorus where the picking pattern changes.

For the right hand, the recommended fingerpicking sequence during the first part is thumb-thumb-thumb-index-thumb-middle. In the chorus, however, it shifts to thumb-thumb-middle-thumb-index-thumb-middle. I’m fairly confident in this arrangement since I carefully watched Ryan Henderson’s hands while he played this song live.

As for the left hand, there isn’t much to explain, except for measures 20 and 29 in the video, where you’ll need to add an F note played with the pinky.

I’ll leave the YouTube link for you here!
