Vanilla Baby - Billie Marten

If you haven’t noticed yet, "Vanilla Baby" is featured in all my top playlists (BAGS, Acoustic Girls, Arpeggios), and the reason is simple: it’s a masterpiece. To me, it falls into the category of those songs that are perfect to listen to, sing along with, and play.

The lyrics are incredibly profound, addressing themes such as self-empowerment and the pressure (or perhaps refusal?) to meet the expectations set by society and those around us.

The atmosphere created by the artist is calm and melancholic, maintaining this mood until the modulation during the bridge, which provides a brief sense of liberation. I must admit, I get goosebumps every time that moment arrives.

If you don’t know this song, please give it a listen!
