Acoustic Girls

Fun fact: I created this playlist right after my mum made me notice that BAGS does not include enough women. She was right, there is a huge disproportion between female and male songs on my biggest list, but it’s not my fault if my favourite artists are mainly men. BAGS is the reflection of my taste, but indirectly also of the music industry which is in my opinion not really female-friendly. 

Anyway, there are a lot of amazing female artists out there and I tried to bring their acoustic songs together.

Also here, one can find some classics by Tracy Chapman, Cat Power, Norah Jones, Dolly Parton, but also songs by more modern artists such as Taylor Swift, Billie Marten, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Lizzy McAlpine. There are also several independent artists to discover!

With regard to the genre, to be honest, I don’t know if this list boils down to a specific one. What I know is that the sound of an acoustic guitar combined with a nice female voice gives me good vibes, doesn’t matter what genre the song belongs to.
