Someone You Loved (Cover) - Passenger
It hasn’t even been two weeks since I last posted a tutorial, but I couldn’t resist sharing this one with you.
Not everyone knows that Passenger has done covers outside of the 'Sunday Night Sessions' album. One of these is Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved, a song that really needs no introduction.
As for the tutorial itself, it’s much simpler compared to the other Passenger songs I’ve posted in the past. As always, use your thumb for the bottom three strings, and your index, middle, and ring fingers for the top three.
While working on the verses, I wondered if the second chord might be an E minor (which doesn’t sound wrong), but after watching his performance on YouTube, it’s clear that he actually plays a G major.
Keep in mind that in the video I intentionally skip a measure, specifically between measures 33 and 34. In the original piece, there's a rest measure that I decided to omit to make the video flow more smoothly. However, you'll find it included in the tabs on Patreon!
With that said, have fun learning this cover! It’s always a crowd-pleaser when played in front of friends.
