Torn - Sons of the East

Three days ago, the Australian indie/folk trio Sons of the East posted a video on their Instagram profile featuring Jack Rollin singing a snippet of Torn. To be honest, it was a bit disappointing — the clip cuts off just before the chorus! — but they used it to ask fans whether they should release a full version of the song.

Well, it didn’t take long for fans’ wishes to come true, as the track was officially released today!

Their rendition, heavily inspired by Natalie Imbruglia’s iconic version, is built around three key elements: acoustic guitar, synths, and harmonies —the unmistakable hallmark of Sons of the East’s sound.

Needless to say, I’ve already added it to my Best Acoustic Covers playlist!

I’ll leave you with the links to the official video and Spotify below.
