Perfume - mehro

This week, I had the pleasure of seeing Mehro live at Bitterzoet in Amsterdam, and it was one of the most unique concerts I’ve ever attended. As Mehro himself mentioned during the show, he doesn’t want his music to be confined to a single genre, and the concert truly embodied that idea. It felt like witnessing four concerts in one, shifting seamlessly from slow ballads to pure rock moments — a captivating experience from start to finish.

The song I’ve chosen to review is, of course, "perfume," which has earned its place on my Best Acoustic Guitar Songs playlist already time ago (for those with a sharp memory, you might recall "reason to live" also made an appearance there for a while.) Let yourself be carried away by Mehro’s soothing humming and the gentle, calming arpeggio of the guitar.

And what better song to sing in the land of tulips than one that says, “you’re a tulip, I’m a spring bloom, I’d be a fool not to love you”?
