Baby One More Time - Ed Sheeran

It feels strange to think that Ed Sheeran would cover "Baby One More Time," and even stranger to realize I was born the same year Britney Spears released her iconic hit (Ed himself was only seven years old at the time).

This cover was part of Spotify’s 2016 "Singles Program," where artists were invited to record one of their own songs—Sheeran chose “Castle on the Hill”—alongside a cover, for which he picked "Baby One More Time."

Stripping the song down to just vocals and guitar was a bold move, but Ed’s unmistakable style allowed him to bring out the melodic richness of the original in a raw, intimate version. And honestly, it’s nearly impossible not to sing along at the top of your lungs when it plays in my “Best Acoustic Covers” playlist.
