Without Me - Rayland Baxter
Hi everyone, and welcome to this new guitar tutorial! Today we’re diving into Without You by Rayland Baxter — a song I believe is incredibly underrated and deserves much more attention.
Let’s jump straight into it. As always, when the studio version features two guitars, I try to blend them into a single arrangement that works well on its own. The left hand shouldn’t give you too much trouble, as the chords are quite simple. I recommend playing the two chords in the verse exactly as I do in the video — this will make the slide between them much smoother.
As for the right hand, we stick to the classic fingerpicking pattern: thumb for the lowest three strings, index for the third string, middle finger for the second, and ring finger for the first string. Luckily, there’s nothing else particularly tricky about this tune — it’s straightforward and a lot of fun to play.
You’ll find the tabs on my Patreon page as always. Have fun learning!
