In case you missed it, two weeks ago, Bon Iver released S P E Y S I D E, the first single from what will become their upcoming EP, SABLE,.

The track feels deeply personal, tackling themes of guilt, the struggle to confront it, and the difficulty of moving past it. Throughout the song, there are numerous references to Justin Vernon's past behaviors and achievements — things he once believed were right, only to realize later that they weren't. This newfound awareness gradually transforms into hope for what lies ahead by the end of the song.

Once again, Justin Vernon proves that all he needs is a guitar to craft masterpieces, and S P E Y S I D E is no exception. For me, this is hands down the best laid-back tune of the year.
