Marti West - Everywhere

London-based artist Marti West has a knack for infusing his compositions with a tender touch, much like a gentle caress. His mesmerizing cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’ is a testament to this.

Despite the song’s ‘80s pop origins, West effortlessly reimagines it in a lo-fi acoustic setting, revealing its timeless appeal.

What’s particularly striking about this rendition is the way he transforms the upbeat energy of the original into a poignant exchange between two acoustic guitars. The arpeggios of each guitar seem to engage in a musical dialogue, their melodies intertwining like old friends engaged in a spirited conversation.

It’s evident why I consider this West’s interpretation of ‘Everywhere’ as one of the hidden gems I mentioned in the description of my playlist ‘Best Acoustic Covers’.
