Best Acoustic Covers - June 2026
June gifted us one more acoustic cover than May, bringing the total to five. And once again, we have two new faces making their debut on the blog.
Rivers - Andrea von Kampen
Let’s start with a familiar name: Andrea von Kampen, this time without Lydia Luce by her side, offering her own version of Rivers by The Tallest Man on Earth. Her interpretation stays quite close to the original, with guitar and vocals still at the center, but there are two clear differences: the capo sits on the first fret instead of the eighth, giving the guitar a warmer tone, and of course Andrea’s female vocals bring a completely different color to the song.
Birds of a Feather - Micah Wagner
Next up is Birds of a Feather by Micah Wagner. Some of you might remember Micah from his cover of Blinding Lights, and the idea here is very similar: take a huge international hit and turn it into a bluegrass cover. Simple concept, great result.
Iris - Jessie Chambers
The third cover is Iris by Jessie Chambers, an artist I discovered through the submission form on this website, so please keep using it! As I already told her, the timing could not have been better, since I recently removed Dean Lewis’ version following the controversy surrounding him. Yes, there is some electric guitar in the second half, but the cover is simply too good to leave out.
You Are My Sunshine - Big Infinite
Next comes You Are My Sunshine by Big Infinite. If you enjoy acoustic reggae and feel good music, this band might be exactly what you are looking for. It is not easy to make a song covered by thousands of artists feel fresh again, but their reggae twist does the job, and unless my ears are fooling me, I think there is even some beatboxing in there!
Price Tag - trolly
Last but not least is Price Tag by trolly. By now, you probably already know what to expect from him, but there is one thing worth pointing out: Jessie J’s hit already has an official acoustic version, and this is one of those rare cases where another artist’s acoustic cover might actually be better than the original acoustic version. Feel free to prove me wrong!
That wraps up June’s selection. Five covers, two new names, and plenty of different acoustic styles to explore. As always, let me know which one is your favorite! You can find them all spread across the Fresh Acoustic Covers playlist :)
